Cutera Xeo+
Xeo+ is the multi-application laser and light platform in our practice. Its handpieces use different light sources. A consultation identifies the treatment and handpiece appropriate to the concern being discussed.
Laser and intense pulsed light (IPL) are different technologies. Owning a platform does not mean every application is suitable for every person.

Describe the outline you want to keep
Use the consultation to explain where you want the visible beard edge to sit and which nearby hair you want assessed for reduction. A reference image may help communicate a style preference, but it should not be treated as a template that fits every face or hair pattern.
Ask how the intended boundary will be agreed and recorded before treatment. Include both sides of the face and the transition toward the neck in that discussion. Small differences in a visible outline can matter more to your goal than the broad name of the service.

Match the goal to the current booking area
Ask whether the proposed appointment is a beard-line service, a neck area or a combination that requires separate booking. Do not assume a small-area label includes every nearby region. The current catalog and the plan recorded by staff should define the actual scope.
If you already own a package, have the team identify its original service and remaining visits. A new menu label does not automatically expand or change a purchased benefit. Clarifying the record protects the agreement you already have while allowing a new consultation about a different area.

Ask the usual laser questions too
Shaping is an aesthetic preference, while candidacy still requires assessment. AAD recommends asking about the clinician's experience with your skin coloring, expected results, risks and preparation. Share prior reactions and relevant history through the clinical intake process rather than a public comment or photo upload.
The goal is long-term hair reduction within an agreed area; the eventual outline and response cannot be predicted from a fixed number of visits. Ask how progress and boundaries will be reviewed over time. The most useful result of the consultation is a clearly documented plan that separates the hair you want retained from the area being considered for treatment.
