What It Is
Lip filler at Chicago Medspa uses hyaluronic acid–based products to add subtle volume, restore hydration, and refine the natural border and shape of the lips. The approach is anatomical and conservative — proportional to your face, not exaggerated. Hyaluronic acid is naturally present in the body and the treatment is reversible if you ever want to dissolve or adjust your results. A lip flip is a separate, lower-commitment option on our menu: a small neuromodulator dose along the upper lip that relaxes the muscle so slightly more of the lip shows, adding no volume and using no filler. Your provider can talk through both at consultation. What to Expect After
Some swelling, tenderness, and minor bruising are common in the first few days. Avoid vigorous exercise, alcohol, and dental procedures for 24–48 hours. Hydrate well and use gentle ice if needed. Final results are visible once swelling fully resolves and typically last several months. Seek medical attention immediately for unusual or increasing pain or skin that becomes white, gray, blue, or mottled, and alert our team immediately. Any vision change requires emergency assessment; call 9-1-1 for sudden vision change or stroke symptoms. New painful, warm, red swelling or nodules need prompt assessment even weeks, months, or years later. Do not massage, press, or attempt to dissolve a lump yourself.
