Professional Skin Consultation in Chicago

A thoughtful, one-on-one assessment with a licensed medical professional. The right starting point for anyone new to Chicago Medspa.

Book Consultation

Performed by a licensed medical provider or Licensed Esthetician

Overview

What It Is

Every new client at Chicago Medspa begins with a professional consultation. This is a one-on-one conversation with a licensed medical provider or Licensed Esthetician, depending on your concerns. We review your skin, your goals, your current routine, and your medical history, then build a recommended plan tailored to you. Your consultation is complimentary, with no obligation to book.

The Experience

How It Works

  1. Welcome & Intake. A relaxed, private conversation about your concerns, goals, and history.
  2. Skin & Health Review. A thoughtful assessment of your skin, current routine, and any relevant medical considerations.
  3. Tailored Recommendations. Your provider builds a personalized plan — including treatments, cadence, and home care guidance.
  4. Booking Your Consultation. Reserve a time that suits you. Your consultation is complimentary, with no obligation to book.

The Menu

Which of the Six Consultations to Book

Our booking menu lists six consultations, all complimentary, and the split exists so you sit down with the right person on the first visit. The Skin and Facial Consultation covers facials, peels and general skin concerns, and leads naturally into our medical facial and chemical peel menus. The Injectable Consultation covers tox treatment and filler, including lip filler.

The Laser Consultation covers every light-based treatment: laser hair removal, IPL photofacial and laser vein treatment among them. The PRP Consultation is the entry point for PRP under-eye rejuvenation, PRP hair restoration and PRP with microneedling. The Wellness and IV Consultation covers IV therapy, wellness injections and NAD+. The Muscle Sculpting Consultation covers body treatments and has its own page.

If you are unsure, book the Skin and Facial Consultation and we will point you to the right one. Nothing is lost by starting in the wrong room.

Standards

What a Good-Faith Examination Is

For medical treatments, which at this practice includes laser and light, injectables, PRP, and IV therapy, the first visit includes something more than a conversation: a good-faith examination. That means your medical history and an appropriate assessment, taken by a licensed medical provider, before any treatment is planned. It establishes the provider-patient relationship that physician-supervised care is built on, and it is the step where contraindications are actually checked rather than assumed absent.

The examination is repeated when it needs to be: when your treatment plan changes in kind, or when significant time has passed since your last visit. Facials and other surface treatments are consulted on by our Licensed Esthetician, which is why this page says "or", and why booking the right consultation from the menu above puts you in front of the right license on day one.

Preparation

What to Bring, and What We Will Ask

Bring a current list of your medications and supplements, including anything over the counter. This is not a formality: some medications increase photosensitivity, which matters for laser and light treatments, and herbal supplements such as St John's wort count too. Expect questions about allergies, medical history, pregnancy or breastfeeding where relevant, and any prior aesthetic treatments and how your skin responded to them.

If a light-based treatment is on your list, your recent sun exposure will come up, because treatment is not performed over an active tan and recent sun can postpone a session. Telling your provider at consultation, rather than discovering it at the appointment, is the difference between planning around it and losing a visit to it.

There is no consultation fee and there never has been a version of this visit that carries one. Prices for the treatments themselves are published on each service page, drawn from the same booking menu you will see when you book, and the plan you leave with names the services it involves so you can check every figure yourself on our services menu before deciding anything.
