Virtual or In-Person Consultation: Choose the Right Starting Format

A virtual visit can make an initial conversation easier to arrange. An in-person visit provides a different setting for assessment. Choosing between them starts with the purpose of the appointment, rather than assuming that either format includes treatment.

What to know

  • Choose the category as well as the appointment format.
  • Virtual consultations are discussions, with further assessment sometimes required.
  • A consultation does not automatically reserve same-day treatment.

Start with the right consultation category

Chicago Medspa offers Skin and Facial, Laser, Muscle Sculpting, Wellness and IV, Injectable, and PRP consultations. The same broad categories are available for virtual discussions. Choose the category that matches the question you want to explore, even if you have not selected a treatment.

For a product routine or facial question, Skin and Facial is the relevant starting point. A laser or light question belongs with the Laser Consultation. If several subjects overlap, contact the team so the reservation matches the conversation you need.

What a virtual reservation includes

The practice's virtual consultations take place on Google Meet. The team sends a separate meeting invitation before the appointment. The booking confirmation and the meeting invitation therefore serve different purposes; check that you have the joining details before the scheduled time.

A virtual consultation is a discussion. It does not include treatment, and an in-person consultation or examination may still be needed before proceeding. Ask what the next step would involve rather than treating the online conversation as automatic clearance for a procedure.

When planning an in-person visit

Consultation and treatment are separate reservations. If you hope to discuss an option and receive treatment on the same day, ask the team to reserve both appropriately. A consultation booking alone does not hold a treatment slot.

Bring the questions you want answered and an accurate list of current products and previous treatments. Clinical history and any requested forms belong in the practice's separate care system, not a public website message or a social-media comment.

Check the practical details

Consultations are complimentary and do not require a treatment purchase. Standard booking and change policies also apply to virtual appointments. Review the current policy, confirm the appointment format and contact the practice if the joining instructions or reservation details are unclear.
