The material used in this treatment is made in the room, from you, on the day. After the draw, the sample is spun in a centrifuge to separate red blood cells from plasma, and spun again to concentrate the platelets within that plasma. The aim of the preparation is a platelet concentration several times higher than what circulates in your blood, because the platelets are where the growth factors live.

Preparation is done with sterile technique, the sample is kept cool so the platelets do not activate before they are placed, and the concentrate is used immediately rather than stored. There is no donor material and no synthetic filler in the syringe, which is the property that makes an allergic reaction to PRP itself extremely unlikely.

The same preparation supports three different treatments here, and the right one depends on where the concern lives. PRP hair restoration delivers the concentrate to the scalp and is priced at $750 per session. Microneedling with PRP pairs the concentrate with medical microneedling across the face and is listed at $650.

The cadence differs by treatment too. Scalp work is planned as a short initial course, commonly three to four sessions about a month apart, with maintenance visits a few times a year afterwards, while facial PRP with microneedling follows the microneedling series it rides on. Under-eye plans are set individually, which is one more reason the consultation comes first.

It is honest to say the wider evidence base for PRP is still maturing: published protocols vary in how they prepare the concentrate and how many sessions they use, and no single standardized protocol has emerged. That is why candidacy, session count and expectations are set individually at consultation rather than quoted from a chart, and why results are described here as gradual rather than promised on a date.
